The realization of my works - including the three-dimensional ones - begins with jotting down a number of notes, sketches, performed in complete freedom. They are things deposited deep within myself, still without a precise form, memories that have just surfaced to consciousness.
These hints remain aside for two or three months and beyond and then, as if on sudden inspiration, they are taken, one by one, chosen and developed several times, to become the real work. added interventions made with brushes that recall the art of Japanese writing.
My friend and workmate Valter Rossi, owner of the Vigna Antoniniana printing house as well as editor, saw them, and he proposed me to use this idea in graphics and precisely in aquatint. Considering also the interest of M. Gallery, 2RC exclusivist for Japan, a form of co-edition has been reached and the result is the prints you see.
I can say that all the team work in the printing house was a fundamental experience for my future graphic work.
