After three years of meticulous preparation, of conscious restoration of the spaces
|
|
of the former Municipal Archives and their transformation into an art laboratory, today, February 3, a rite of passage takes place.
|
A large chalcographic press, designed by Valter Rossi in 1970, and donated to the City of Urbino by 2RC, takes up residence in the new space made available by the Municipal Administration to the Academy of Fine Arts of Urbino, in Via delle Arti (Via Valerio).
|
An operation that, due to the mammoth dimensions of the press, named “Alexander the Great”, took on the appearance of a large theatrical piece in the heart of the historic center of Urbino.
|
His entrance into the Renaissance city was a choreographic process, a perfect balancing act between space, time and gravity, transforming logistics into spectacle, technique into aesthetic event.

Each step was performed with precision and care, ensuring that the installation was safe and effective.

A large intaglio press, designed by Valter Rossi in 1970 and donated to the City of Urbino by 2RC, finds its home in the new space provided by the Municipal Administration to the Academy of Fine Arts of Urbino, in Via delle Arti (Via Valerio).
