On Friday 14 March in Urbino, a new and decisive phase for Graphic Art took shape, with the presentation of the 2RCABAU - International Centre of Graphic Art; A place that, collecting the legacy of the 2RC, also with the donation to the City of a large chalcographic press, designed by Valter Rossi in 1970, becomes the meeting point between the solidity of a decades-long tradition and the drive towards the unknown, experimentation, the avant-garde.

From the merger between 2RC Edizioni d'Arte and the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino, the 2RCABAU Laboratory was born, becoming the beating heart of a new vision for contemporary graphics.

With this event, presented by Achille Bonito Oliva and enriched by the screening of the documentary
|
Life is a Sign – Sixty Years of Creative Joy by Valter and Eleonora Rossi, directed by Enrico Agapito, we arrive at a new phase of the 2RC: The passing of the baton to the Young Students passionate about Graphics.
|
In May, the new center will officially come to life with a first workshop in collaboration with the Academy and the Two-Year Specialization Course of the School of Graphics.
|
|
The goal will be to form an operational nucleus capable of producing Original Graphic Works, always maintaining the quality and innovative spirit that have made 2RC an international point of reference.

From the coalescence of 2RC with the Academy of Fine Arts, the 2RCABAU emerges, aiming to become the beating heart of a new vision for contemporary graphic arts.
