After three years of meticulous preparation, of conscious restoration of the spaces of the Ex Archivio Comunale and their transformation into an art laboratory, today, February 3rd, a rite of passage takes place.

A large chalcographic press, designed by Valter Rossi in 1970, and donated to the City of Urbino by 2RC, takes up residence in the new space made available by the Municipal Administration to the Academy of Fine Arts of Urbino, in Via delle Arti (Via Valerio).

An operation that, due to the mammoth dimensions of the press, named “Alessandro Magno”, took on the appearance of a large theatrical piece in the heart of the historic centre of Urbino.

His entrance into the Renaissance city was a choreographic process, a perfect balancing act between space, time and gravity, transforming logistics into spectacle, technique into aesthetic event.

Each step was performed with precision and care, ensuring that the installation was safe and effective.
