Editorial Press
Workshop
ln collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts and the two-year specialist course of the School of Graphics.
The project, divided into two workshops, offered students in the two-year Master's program an immersive experience in the world of editorial art printing, with a practical and reflective approach.
In the first session, students worked on plates engraved by William Kentridge, exploring the relationship between technique and editorial design. In the second module, the focus shifted to Yoko Ono's original plates, engaging in an advanced workshop that combined technical precision, collaboration, and the languages of conceptual art.
During the journey, nine copies were printed for each artist. The three best prints of William Kentridge and Yoko They were hand-trimmed, collectively signed, and dedicated to the Municipality of Urbino, the Academy, and 2RC/William Kentridge. The remaining copies were cut into fragments: a piece was given to each student, as a tangible symbol of their experience.
A final gesture that left a profound impression, conveying the founding value of the entire project: ethics, which has always been at the heart of 2RC's vision.
